Most health funds require 12 months of membership before covering procedures. Ask your healthfund if you have been a member long enough for your procedure to be covered.
For many procedures we offer, health insurance will often cover the majority of your hospital fees and a small portion of your Surgeon and Anaesthetist fees.
Contact your health fund with the medicare item number/s for your planned procedure and they will inform you if your policy will cover you for it. We will advise you of the medicare item number/s that relate to you surgery following your consultation.
